Announcing the Birth of a Baby Online
New born babies are adorable and attract a lot of celebration as you welcome the bundle of joy. There’s always something special, a gift or congratulatory message that comes from family and friends. There are special occasions that you need to capture of the baby e.g. when sleeping, through to when a baby takes the first step. Moreover there are numerous activities through the life of your new born that you may find worthy documenting for future remembrance.
With tons of ideas out there about how you can capture all those glamorous and beautiful moments of your child, you may find yourself overwhelmed by choosing the best way to do so. The most conventional method of storing such memories is through the use of photos. We all want to take the beautiful photos of our lovely ones through their stages in life and keep them safe.
However, there are some other great ways that you may find much better not only to announce the coming of your child but to keep memories of the birth. When I realized that I was pregnant for years ago, I wanted to capture all the best memories of my pregnancy till the birth of my child and share them with my family and friends especially given that I was living and working abroad. After much thought and consultation, I decided to create a keepsake website, where I would upload the best pictures and wonderful moment through my pregnancy till the birth of my child.
Sharing Wonderful Maternal Sessions and Moments
I started my keepsake website at a crucial time during my pregnancy, when together with the company of my husband; we went for a dating scan. It was my first ultra sound scan and I was quite nervous to see the pictures of my baby growing in my womb. I was 12 weeks pregnant and the results of the scan made me have one of the happiest days of my life. I was going to have twins. I really could believe it.
I needed to upload the image of the scan, although my husband didn’t feel like it. He objected and wanted us to launch the site after the twins were born. However, I was so excited and couldn’t contain myself, so he had to give in to my requests.
From that very day, I launched my website which I updated regularly about any pertinent information regarding the unborn babies. I would update on the diet that I was recommended to have as well as the development of the child. Soon the site started to have some attention as I recommended my family and friends to be updated about their welfare of my pregnancy from it. There are times that they congratulated me and other times that they encouraged me or advised me on what to do.
Day by day, I ensured that I had something exciting to share. The exercises that I was undertaking, the maternal visit, the pregnancy outings that we went, my overwhelming craving and most importantly the date that I expected to go on labor. However, though I knew the sex of the babies, I decided to keep it a surprise despite the numerous calls to make it public.
Keeping the Memories of Babies through Keepsake Websites
My labor started three days before Thanksgiving and that meant that that year’s Thanksgiving party would be so wonderful. That’s an understatement; it was the best thanksgiving party that I have ever had. I had some family members who came to be with me during the party, as well as friends. That day, my husband came to pick me from the maternal clinic after I was discharged and we went directly home. I never knew that he too wanted to surprise me since I never anticipated that we would have so many guests at dinner. It was actually a party not a dinner.
I was showered with many gifts for the new born twin girls. Everyone wanted to pose with the girls until a point that I felt that they needed some rest. The weeks to follow were too happy one as we received several guests who came to share the good baby moments with us. I still keep the site alive and I often share some intimate memories of my twin girls as they continue growing to be big girls.
